1. Food and beverages are expensive at sporting events because there is no competition so all the places make their prices high. Also a lot of times fundraisers run the concessions, so to make money they have to increase the prices.
2. We spend a lot more at sporting events because their is no alternative like a glass of water. You have to buy a bottled water, and also there are no refills at sporting events unless they have like a special package.
3. I think the prices are not fair, becuase customers already spend enough just to get in the door.
4. I don't think there is much we can do about them because it is how it is. If you don't like the prices, just don't buy the products.

1. food and drinks are so expensive becasue the money that goes to them is going to the event as well. So the customers are paying for the sporting event or entertainment.
2. because the money we spend on the food and drinks at a sporting event helps the event. our money goes to that event so they can pay for it.
3. I don't think the prices are fair just becuase people arent going to want to pay that much for food or drink becuase they paid so much for the ticket itself.
4. they can reduce the price and make the prices of the entertainment lower than they are.

1. Vendors know that people will be wanting food and they won't leave the stadium, vendors will raise the prices because they know people will still buy them despite the high prices

2. A sporting event is more exhilirating and you can't leave in the middle if your hungry, you can leave a restaurant if you don't like the prices

3. No

4. Bring your own food to the game or eat before the game

1. Food and beverages at sporting events are so expensive because most sporting events are during 'dinner time' and so they try to raise the price to get more money out of people that get hungry.
2. We dont want to leave to have to eat or get a drink, it is convient for us to just get food at the game.
3. I dont think the prices are fair because the fans have come to watch the game and paid for tickets so they shouldnt have to pay even more for food.

1. Why are food and beverage products at sporting events so expensive?

to help support the venue.

2. Why do we spend two, three and sometime four times as much to buy food and drink at a sporting event than a normal restaurant?

because we want the experience.

3. Do you think these outrages prices are fair?

no, becuase it discourages the people who may not be as fortunate as others to go to these sporting events and have the same experience as others.

4. What can you do about them?

bring your own food or not eat at the venue.

1. The food and beverage products are expensive because it helps gain more profit.
2. We spend more at sporting events because nobody probably doesn't want to miss any of the game, so they just buy whatever foods convenient to get which happens to be the expensive food products.
3. It's not fair for the customers, but it's pretty fair to whoever's gaining the profit from the outrage prices.
4. You could always eat before you get to the game or bring in food with you if they let you.

Kyle Rackliffe said...

1. They are probably overlypriced because they have so many bills that they have to pay off and they need to pay those fees off.
2. Because some people dont get to come to the stadium or arena that often and they want to get those products every once and a while.
3. No because when they do this they are limiting the amount of people that can buy their products.
4. You can try and petition the marketing executive of the club but other than that there is not much that you can do.

Scott Chapman said...

1. They are so expensive because they are monopolies, and they make the prices high because people only have one choice if they want food.
2. We spend a lot more on food there because its the only option if your hungry, and people want food when theyre watching their favorite team.
3. I don't think they are fair, but they can charge whatever they want because its the option options to the customers.
4. We can stop buying the food so that the stadiums will likely lower food costs since noone is buying them.

3.no, but what are you gonna do. go hungry, or wait until you get out...?

4.nothing exept not eat the products.

1. Beacuse they know that people who dont bring their own food will be willing to pay these prices.
2. It's mainly beacuse they are trying to make a profit, and they know they can because people arent willing to leave the game just to get food so they will pay the prices.

1) Food and beverages products are so high at sporting events because some of the money goes toward the building at those working their.
2) I personally think that the reason why we pay more at sporting events rather than at restaurants is because you are hungry and its convenient.
3)No i do not think these prices are fair because it is over priced for something that is cheaper at a grocery store.
4)To do things about it is not paying for the food there and bringing my own stuff.

2. Sporting events are often hot and time consuming so at some point you're going to want food or drink, and when theres only one place to get that food then we are going to overpay just for the convenience of it
3. No, vendors are just taking advantage of people at sporting events
4. Sneak your own food into the game

2. Usually we feel more impulsive at a sporting event in order to have a good time, but mostly the vendors try to gouge you to make more money.

4. You can complain to customer service or just not buy the food at the stadium.

BJ Racine said...

1. Food and beverages are so expensive because the stadium and the teams need money. Teams need to be able to pay their employees, players, and pay for more food for the people to buy. its the same reason why merchandise is so expensive.
2. We spend that extra money because the food and drinks are right there and convienient. You arent going to wait 3 hours at a ballgame to go to a nice restarant. You would rather just get the food there.
3. The prices arent really fair but they are smart because they know people will buy the products right at the stadium. They need to make money too.
4. Nothing really because the satdiums need money and they arent going to lower prices if one person doesnt buy they have enough customers.

Tommy K. said...

1. Because the companies that pay to have their concession stands in the stadiums have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to stay there, and some customers want to have a "real" game experience, and some parts of that tradition is paying for extremely expensive food
2. Because of the convenience factor, we go to one of the stands in the stadium because it is only a short walk from our seats and the food is usually right there waiting for us, making it more convenient than going to a sit down restaraunt
3. To the people controlling the companies it makes perfect sense, but to the consumer the prices are ridiculous more often than not
4. Take control of the company that owns the stadium and force them to lower the prices of concessions
