1. Merchandise is always at the entrances and exits of stadium because they want people to purchase souveneirs as they are entering or leaving an event. That is the first thing they notice.
2. Stores put cash registers at the entrance of a store because that is where they can see anyone trying to shoplift and sneak stuff out of the store.
3. I think product displays have attracted my interest to purchase a product because they make it more noticable and interesting. This is eye-catching and leaves you wanting a product. I think the best example would be in a grocery store where you can buy food.
4. Some issues a vendor faces when designing a store layout are is there a possibilty for products to be shoplifted and are the products in easily accesible and organized area so it is easily found.

Jerrod Beresid said...

1. This is because people coming in to the stadium/ arena and exiting the stadium/ arena need to pass the store in order to do so.
2. So that they can see anyone trying to shoplift and to let the customers walk around in the store to look for what they need and then to pass everthing again on their way back to the register.
3. Yes, because they make the product look more appealing to the customer and to persuade them to buy that product.
4. There is a possibility for products to be shoplifted and products need to be able to clearly see it and have easy access to it.

1. Because people dont want to be carrying around merchandise the whole time at stadiums so they put them near the exits so when you leave you can get them and everyone has to pass the entrances and exits so which creates more business.

Morgan Wilson said...

1. most of the traffic is at the entrance

2. because the employees can see potential shoplifters

3. it has an influenece yes, but when i buy something ive done my research on the product and have made my decision before buying anyway.

4. the amount of people plays a large role in having a store because so many people will be leaving and entering the stadium at one time, so it would get hectic very quickly.

Jordan Dean said...

1. This is important because since they are out of the entrance/exit people have to go through them. Some people may not have gone in them otherwise.

2. They place cash registers like they do because then the employees are able to watch people either enter or exit the store and make sure they don't steal anything.

3. A product display has never influenced me to buy a product because I either like a product or I don't.

4. They have to make sure that items aren't to crowded, where items are placed has to help them sell, employees must be able to see all customers in the store, and it shouldn't be too crowded.

Demi Ogunnowo said...

1. Have you ever wondered why the merchandise shops are always at the entrances/exits of a stadium? Explain why this is so important.

2. they do that because then right after someone buys a product then they can exit right after without an inconvience going through the whole store again to exit.
3. no not really the display of a product doesnt really matter to me i would probably look at it but i would want to find out a lot more about it then its display and look.

Ryan Davey said...

1. They put merchandise shops at entrances and exits at stadiums because its a place where customers will for sure walk by and see the merchandise.
2.Cash registers are placed near the exit of the store because it forces customers to walk through the whole store.
3.Product display usually doesnt effect my purchase of the product, becaue I focus buying on the product itself, not the display.
4.The stadium vendor should diplay their products that are most common towards the back of the store, and put items that arent so common in the path of the common products. That way customers can see the uncommon products and possibly buy them.

4. Stadium merchandise vendors have to think about as to how they will layout their store, because if it is not layed out correctly, it can decrease your sales. They have to make sure the cash registers are at the entrance/exit to make it convinient for the customer and to make sure nothing is being stolen. It also needs to be layed out so that customers can get around the store easily.

1. Have you ever wondered why the merchandise shops are always at the entrances/exits of a stadium? Explain why this is so important.

It's important because it catches customers' eyes as they are entering or leaving the stadium.

2. Why do you think stores put cash registers right near the entrance/exit to their stores?

To eliminate chances of shoplifters.

3. Has a product display ever influenced you to purchase a product? Explain why?

I can't think of one, but I'm sure if I saw products displayed in a fashion that appealed to my interests, I would be more prone to buy it.

4. What are some issues that a stadium merchandise vendor has to think about as far as how they layout their store for trafic flow? Be detailed.

Stadiums hold a lot of people, so when designing a merchandise vendor, it is important to make sure things won't get too congested. It's like the lines at amusement parks, they stretch out really far or have lots of turns to ensure that the people interested in riding the ride, aren't blocking people that are just walking by.
